Each April, we celebrate National Volunteer Month to recognize the contributions of volunteers across the country. Coming from the Volunteer State, ISG honors the commitment our Invictians show for both community involvement and giving back.
This year, it is our pleasure to share that our own Paige Meade, Sr. Director of Growth and Corporate Services, was presented the Virginia Attorney General's Unsung Heroes Award. Attorney General Jason Miyares honored Paige and 18 other individuals, all of whom work tirelessly to serve and empower crime victims across the Commonwealth. She was nominated by the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) Victim Services Unit for her work with the Victim Impact Program, along with advocacy and service she provides in her Northern Virginia community.
Adrian Perry, Director of Victim Services for the Office of the Attorney General, said in Paige's introduction "Ms. Meade chose to turn her pain into purpose and transformed her personal trauma into a lifelong mission of service, advocacy, and healing for sexual assault victims. Since 2017, she has played a vital role in the Department of Corrections’ Victim Impact Program, traveling across Virginia to educate offenders on the profound and lasting impact of their crimes. Her message emphasizes personal accountability, the ripple effect of crime, and the rights of victims. Beyond her work with offenders, Ms. Meade has trained law enforcement, schools, and community groups how to better recognize and respond to sexual violence. Through Ms. Meade’s resilience, compassion, and courage, she continues to offer victims strength, hope, and a path forward. On behalf of a grateful Commonwealth, thank you, Paige Meade!"
