ISG Partners with MSSA Program to Support Veteran IT Professionals

Invicta Solutions Group has partnered with the Microsoft Software & Systems Academy (MSSA) to provide transitioning servicemembers and veterans with critical career skills required for today’s growing technology industry.

MSSA provides an 18-week training for high-demand careers in cloud development, cloud administration, cyber security administration, or database and business intelligence administration. Program graduates have an opportunity to interview for full-time positions with either Microsoft or other organizations that value technical resources with military experience.

ISG, in conjunction with the Ft Campbell MSSA Program Manager Douglas Woodruff, has established a mentorship / sponsorship program to promote continued learning and professional development.  Interested participants in the program provided a resume and cover letter, then participated in a technical / professional interview with the ISG Partners.  The winning candidate will receive a one-year scholarship from ISG to the Cloud Guru, Linux Academy in order to further mature the candidate’s technical skills.

In addition to the scholarship, the winning candidate will receive 1:1 coaching from both Jeff and myself that would include technical and professional development. ISG will also provide interview prep and referrals to our nationwide network for transitional employment into the civilian market.

Both Jeff and I see the capabilities that veterans bring to technical teams and we are proud to be able to assist a strong group of transitioning servicemembers into a new career.  I have enjoyed the relationships that I have built with this MSSA Group over the past two months and we are looking forward to assisting them in the future.

The candidates did a wonderful job throughout the process and made the final selection extremely difficult.  Ultimately, the ISG Partners selected Christopher Jones for the program and will be working with him over the next few months as he begins his civilian career.

ISG is committed to providing opportunities for these talented veteran technologists and we are actively looking for partner organizations interested in adding this candidate profile to their teams.  If your organization would like to discuss this program or similar initiatives, please let me know.
